New partnerships to build an inclusive and carbon-positive economy
In recent months Laudes Foundation has signed grants with new and existing partners, investing in building organisational strengths to further their vital work in areas spanning gender rights to circular economy policy. Supporting these initiatives is key to our mission to drive business and markets to mitigate climate change and eliminate inequality.

Thailand’s National Action Plan on Business and Human Rights gains speed

Last month, IOM, FORUM-ASIA, Community Resources Centre, and International Commission of Jurists co-hosted consultations on Thailand’s National Action Plan on Business and Human Rights. Over 90 civil society organisations representatives attended to promote adherence and requesting improvements in labour rights, social protection and welfare support of all workers, including migrant workers.

NEF and Positive Money convened a joint letter, signed by more than 150 economists, to respond to the UK chancellor’s plans for greening finance. They urged the government to reconsider the Bank of England’s mandate to ensure the UK hits its carbon zero target.
