Green Finance Institute & Laudes Foundation partner to decarbonise the built environment
 
The Green Finance Institute and Laudes Foundation share a common sense of urgency  to ensure “Investment flows into constructing and renovating homes to net-zero carbon standards remain far below the levels required to meet the goals of the Paris Agreement. It’s also critical this enables the many, not just the few, to benefit from a better built environment”, said James Drinkwater, Head of Built Environment at Laudes Foundation.  


 
FORGE awards $770,000 to seven groups committed to global South communities impacted by Covid-19

Funders Organized for Rights in the Global Economy (FORGE), a collaborative of philanthropic donors including Laudes, just announced it’s second slate of investments with a focus on climate, gender, and debt justice, to catalyse reforms grounded in preserving the rights and power of workers, while strengthening accountability and addressing underlying inequities in the financial system.

European Parliament demands first-ever EU targets to reduce over-consumption

For the first time, two amendments will be introduced to make consumption targets legally binding. Such targets would help curb Europe’s consumption and material footprints, bringing consumption and production patterns within planetary boundaries by 2050.

Access to Information among readymade garment (RMG) workers in Bangladesh - Identifying ways to bridge the gender gap 

ETI Bangladesh, together with invited guest speakers from the Government of Bangladesh, local mobile operators and other communication service providers, and RMG suppliers, will be holding a webinar to discuss on how we can best reach RMG workers while ensuring equal access to information for women workers.
